For this 🎨art activity, I cut out oval shaped pieces of cardboard, laid out a few colors of paint, small plastic easter eggs, magnets, and magnetic wands.
I put a magnet in each egg and closed it up. I taped the back of the oval cardboard to a pan to keep it in place while painting. Next, the kids added a few drops of paint to their cardboard egg and then added in the magnetic eggs to the pan. Finally, they took the magnetic wand, and held it under the pan so they could move the magnetic eggs and paint.
For younger children, use a glue gun to seal around the egg or tape the egg closed with the magnet inside. If you don’t have magnets, no problem! Just have your child roll the plastic eggs around in paint!
