Build LEGO Car Racers Easter STEM Challenge Activity

LEGOS are great for STEM challenges.  Kids can be so creative and the possibilities are endless when they are given prompts to build something.  For this Easter themed STEM activity, I set out a tray of colorful LEGOS and a few plastic eggs. The goal was to build a LEGO car to transport an Easter Egg and then of course have car races! My boys love cars and they build LEGO cars daily, but just by adding this element to the mix, it made them have to shift their thinking so that they could build a vehicle to fit an egg and ensure that it doesn’t fall out during the race.

LEGO Easter Egg Racers

Materials

  • Various LEGO Bricks
  • LEGO wheels
  • LEGO people (optional)
  • Plastic Eggs (Easter)

Instructions

  • Ask child to build a car out of LEGOS that will fit an egg.
  • Create obstacles like bumps in the "road" or twists and turns to test drive your LEGO Egg Car.
  • Have a fun race!
